Sports nutrition goes far beyond simply healthy eating. As a qualified dietitian with a Diploma in Sports Nutrition, I specialise in helping athletes optimise their training, recovery and performance with practical evidence- based nutritional strategies.
Since 2023, I have had the honor of working as team dietitian with the Kilkenny Senior Hurling team. This followed my previous position as team dietitian with the All Ireland winning U20’s hurling team of 2022. Working alongside these teams has provided first hand experience of the challenges GAA players face maintaining fitness, performance and health throughout hectic club and championship seasons. Collaboratively with the wider backroom team, I work to ensure that each player is treated as an individual with nutrition plans to suit their unique needs and goals.
Alongside my work with athletes, I am also a keen GAA enthusiast and a marathon runner. Marathon training has taught me firsthand the power of adequate and well planned nutrition, especially in the areas of fueling, recovery and injury prevention. This personal experience combined with my clinical training works to ensure that all of my nutritional advice is measured and practical, whilst still maintaining an evidence- based foundation. Over the last 4 years, I have worked with numerous marathon runners, triathletes and Iron Man enthusiasts all working to improve their nutrition strategy and in turn gain that extra 1%.
In today’s world of conflicting advice, my goal is to cut through the noise and provide clear, practical and proven guidance that helps athletes achieve the results they strive for.

Individual Athlete Consultations
Individual Consultations : I provide a full assessment of current diet, training load, health status and goals. This information is then used to create tailored fueling strategies for training, competition and recovery. Practical meal and snack plans are suggested to fit training schedules. Guidance is also provided on the safe, effective and evidence based use of supplements/ ergogenic aids.
Performance Nutrition plans : I work to provide both short and long term strategies to support endurance, strength or body composition goals. I guide athletes with periodised nutrition plans to match training cycles (pre season, in- season, off- season) to ensure enhanced speed, strength and endurance. Consultations will also provide guidance on hydration management in training and competition.
Race and Competition Preparation: I guide athletes on pre race/ pre game fueling strategies and carbohydrate loading protocols where appropriate. I also provide guidance on competition- day fueling and hydration schedules and recovery plans post-race or event.
Specialised Support: As a registered dietitian, I am uniquely qualified to provide specialist advice for athletes managing medical conditions such as diabetes, gastrointestinal issues, female athlete health, allergies or Relative Energy Deficiency in Sport (RED-S).

Every team has its own demands- different training schedules and competition structure. I will work with you to provide practical, evidence based nutrition that fits seamlessly into your team environment.
Nutrition Workshops and Team Talks : I provide interactive, engaging sessions designed around your squads needs. Topics may include : fueling for training, match day routines, recovery strategies and meal planning.
Match- Day + Training Support : Practical advice for pre- and post match meals, hydration strategies, and recovery protocols. I am also experienced working with catering staff and clubs to plan menus for training camps, away fixtures and tournaments.
Collaboration with Backroom Teams and S+C Staff : I am very experienced working closely with coaching and performance staff to ensure nutrition strategies integrate smoothly into the wider performance plan, supporting your team’s collective goals.
